In 2022 I started setting time aside every Friday for personal one-on-one coaching.

The best uses for these consultations are loglines, story idea help, and short treatments. We can cover other topics as well, just let me know when you sign up.

Because of the expense, please be sure you know what you want to achieve in the consultation to get the best use out of it.

We can talk about anything you want, but have an objective for yourself.

Logline/Story Idea/General Consultation

One Hour Private Consultation

This is a one-hour conversation on a logline, story idea, or any topic you choose. It can be as specific or as general as you want. As always, I encourage you to take the classes first. You will get more bang for your buck on them initially and you will get more value out of your time with me.

Treatment/Outline/First 25 Page Consultation

One-on-one consultation on a story treatment, outline or first 15 Pages.

This will be an hour-long consultation that focuses on a story treatment, outline up to 12 pages long or the first 25 pages. I will read all the material before we sit down together and cover whatever we need to.

The talk itself can be pretty extensive, even with the first 25-page option. We go into great detail as we discuss repeatable processes rather than just notes. Keep this in mind and schedule to go overtime in case it is necessary.

We will cover all relevant topics, including story, structure, and marketability. There will be a recording of the consultation and a transcript for your later reference.

I take a very limited number of appointments each week. One of the benefits of that is we get to slow down, and get the job done right, no matter how long it takes.

Can I get a refund if I'm unhappy with my purchase?

As stated in Teachable's Terms of Use, Coaching IS NOT covered by Story and Plot's 30-day student refund policy. As such, we highly recommend you know exactly what your goals are for the consultation ahead of time.

I can tell you, I have never had anyone ask for a refund for a course or a coaching session over 22 years of teaching
